EFI and newer 64 bit HT processors

So I have spent some time reading on Intel's site trying to get up to speed on this new issue.

 

I have a couple of questions for the forum:

 

first a selfish one: does the prescot 521 processor 2.8ghz procesor support efi.

 

next:

 

on windowsxp 64 bit install, there was necesary an efi partition??? if i remember right, i havent had it installed in months.

 

leading to next question.

 

on a dell box, with support for tpm built into bios, and supposed efi support, should anyone with this combo be able to run 10.4.4 and future releases?

 

has anyione attempted this and is it liekly that the next revision of pataches will leave bios dependance in the dust?

 

Where will this leave us, stuck at 10.4.3, or will those of us with these dcapabilities be able to move on.
