UZi706
My friend gave me his disk that he used to install on his Mac, but I wanna try it before I buy it. If I install it and don't register it, will it stop working, would I get updates still? If I do register it, will it stop my friends machine from working? Danyel
Hi UZi706: I don't have Leopard yet but I've done many installs with Tiger (both with registering and not registering). I haven't had problems with those machines whether they were registered or not. I have heard that Apple doesn't resort to Activation Keys or other methods in their software. They put their faith on their customers to pay for their products. Technically, it would be possible to use one (1) Mac OS X Disc to install on different machines at home. But they offer Family Pack (5 User License) for those who are honest and wish to pay the extra $70 for get fully licensed. --danyel
