Finally i got Tiger working on my Medion Microstar (MSI) 6556-MT7 PC from MediaMarkt/Germany

It's stable and runs very smooth.

Intel Core2Quad E6600 2,4GHz

Microstar MSI-7358 v1.1

Working Out of the Box using MacOSx86 JaS AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 (PPF1 & PPF2) Image:

CPU=YES; ATA=NO; AUDIO=NO; FIREWIRE=YES; X3100=YES (NO CI/QE);

MEM=YES; SATA=YES; USB=YES; LAN=NO; SLEEP ON POWER BUTTON=YES;

 

Update with koolkal 10.4.10 Intel Combo SSE3 Only works without problems.

 

Had to install MacOSx86 under Windows/VMware Workstation 6.x because lack of IDE support

and i dunno have SATA DVD-Roms. No Problems at all.

 

Intel HD Audio (Realtek ALC888 at ICH9R) working with these drivers:

ALC888Audio.mpkg.zip + AzaliaAudio.pkg.zip (Stereo Out/No Input)

 

Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit Lan are unsupported.

I'm using now a 3COM 3C905C-TX PCI Card, price: 3,00EUR

Had to install AppleIONetworkingFamily.kext from OSx 10.4.3

and deleting AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext to get working.

TCP/IP - DHCP manual settings.

 

The Marvell 88E8056 IDE isn't important for me.

I upgraded the PATA DVD-RAM Drive with an SATA-Adaptor.

Equip Converter IDE -> SATA Controller, price: 13,00EUR

 

And i need a new PCIe Graphic card.

Witch one is fully supported (CI/QE)? I have an eye on the 8800GTX. OK?

You used vmware 6 only for installation? after you can boot without it?

however, i found no references of this board on MSI sites. anyhow, this board is strikingly similar to the more common G33 MSI boards

Sorry, but I didn't understand you. Did you installed it natively or via VMware?

I think that even if you got it to install via VMware, but i works very slowly.

 

I installed Windows XP via VWware as virtualmachine, and it worked very very slow...

live with 32Mb of RAM ))

 

So we're looking for solution to install & boot in natively and full compatibly with bios.
