teknojunkie Posted November 5, 2007 Share Posted November 5, 2007 I really need help when ever i stick in the osx 10.4.8 amd intel... dvd and go in to disk utility it just hangs there at "Gathering Disk Information" i also tried to reformat to a clean hard disk and installed XP and made a partition formated to FAT 32 to be converted to Extended Journal please anyone help. CenobiteDK Posted November 8, 2007 Share Posted November 8, 2007 Hmm, at least you were lucky. I dont have anything in the card readers but disk utility just hangs at "gathering...". During the installation disk utility worked fine, but not within the system. I installed uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4i on a Dell Dimension 9150 (P4 3GHz) and Callisto b008 afterwards for the X600 card. I have both USB and Firewire disks which works fine from finder. The AHCI/SATA controller is ICH7-M. Any suggestions? or should I apply more info?
