fus1on
I have tried booting from the DVD and that works fine, i get to the darwin screen that says press any key to install or F8 for options. If i press anykey i get 'starting darwin' then the PC reboots. If i choose F8 i get the exact same problem. I have tried using the -v command but it doesnt give any error messages just reboots the pc. I have: Asus A8n-E Mobo AMD 64 X2 3800+ CPU Nvidia 7600GS Graphics 1 SATA 250Gb HDD (Vista installed) 1 IDE 160Gb HDD partitioned to HFS using 'diskpart' 1 USB 60Gb HDD Partitioned to HFS using 'diskpart' I have tried removing all disk drives except for the DVD + IDE / USB HDD but i still get the same problem. The DVD i have is Jas AMD / Intel SSE2 SSE3 + PPF1 PPF2. Burned using nero at slowest speed possible. Ideally i want mac installed to the USB drive although if i can only do it on the IDE then thats fine too. I have searched many many times but cant find a resolution..... Any ideas where im going wrong? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69669-cannot-install-jas-1048/ Share on other sites

Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 1023Mb memory Vesa V3.0 256Mb (nvidia) Loading Darwin/x86 Loading kernel mach_kernel Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450 Loaddrivers: Loading from: [/system/library/extensions.mkext] Loading HFS+ file: [/system/library/extensions.mkext] from 4230450 Loading HFS+ file: [/system/library/extensions.mkext] from 4230450 Starting Darwin/x86...
