justluke Posted November 3, 2007 Share Posted November 3, 2007 I've been trying to install Tiger (using the uphuck_10.4.9_v1.3 DVD) on my Laptop, without success. It installs without a problem but locks up on the boot screen (the grey screen with the apple logo and the spinning "thing"). I've tried matching the kernal, patches and drivers to my hardware, but nothing seems to work. The specification of my laptop is: AMD Turion 64 Mobile Processor MT-40 1024 MB RAM ATI® RS 480M + ATI® SB 450 Chipset ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X1600 GPU w/ 256MB VRAM memory Realtek ALC 882 sound. Any advice on which combination of kernal, patches and drivers I should use (or of an entirely different patched install DVD that will work)?
