Sm0ke
I'm curious what problems I would run into trying to install leopard on a Dell 8600. If it would work, what leopard patch do I need? shoarthing
I know I can install it...I'm asking if I will have driver problems? For example, will I have video acceleration? Will sound work?etc... Thanks Hi - these forums have a search function to the upper LH of each page. As a generality, if Tiger was made to work with a given widget, so will Leopard - you can copy over many [not all] old kexts or use similar edits. 30 seconds (30 of my unreturnable seconds) found this thread re: the 9600M & easily 10 more went on deciding not to reply this time to a second PM from someone I don't know [you]; the first being either a request for me to send a complete stranger a 4.3GB *.iso or to invite 'em to a private torrent site. Best advice is to do a lot of searching, then dive in & play with a known-stable DVD with lots of drivers - f'rinstance Uphuck's 1.4iR3 for Intel boxes: folk here are remarkably helpful to those who've made a decent try.
