bmk789
I got OS X86 10.4.1 running and its slow to boot and slow to run. Kernel takes almost 100% CPU and it takes a few minutes to boot. I ran software update and it found nothing. What can I do to update and/or make it run full speed? New001
No, should i? Yes, delete that kext, then delete extensions.kextcache, and extensions.mkext, found in /system/library. The open up terminal, found in /applications/utilities/terminal/. Then type this into the terminal window: kextcache -k /system/library/extensions/, then restart Edited January 16, 2006 by New001 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6926-1041-is-slooow/#findComment-42769 Share on other sites
