dalk Posted November 2, 2007 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Hi... Been searching through the forums and haven't found a solution. Maybe someone can help? I'm trying to do a full install of Logic Studio 8 (legitimate copy) on to my hackintosh (uphuck 10.4.9 ver3). Its an AMD system with nVidia gfx. OSX has been working fine with no problems up to this. Basically, the install opens and runs fine for a few minutes, but then the PC completely freezes and i have to hit the reset button. It occurs fairly randomly ie not at the same place each time. I had no problems installing Logic 7.1. The only thing that the installer complains of is "Screen resolution is 0x0" but then continues anyway. Some things i've tried. Setting the installer to open as rosetta. I downloaded a torrent of the DVD installer to make sure its not an error with the shipped media, same problem. Not too sure what to do... Any suggestions? dalk Posted November 10, 2007 Author Share Posted November 10, 2007 ...turned out to be a RAM problem! Had 4gig installed. Took 2 gig out and then Logic would install fine. (After testing, the RAM isn't damaged or malfunctioning in any way).
