EddieR Posted November 2, 2007 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Hi A Friend of mines has purchased the following laptop: Acer Extensa 5220 -Intel Celeron 530 (1,73GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache) -15.4" WXGA LCD -Up to 64MB Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 -1GB DDR2 (increased with 512MB) -80GB HDD -DVD-Super Multi DL -802.11b/g WLAN He releates when he boots the OSX DVD, and goes into Disc Utility to format the hard drive, disc utility isn't even detecting the drive, is there a solution to this by chance ?? th0ms0n Posted November 2, 2007 Share Posted November 2, 2007 does he have the latest bios firmware? there is a new on at acer v1.18 which supports new setting vor HD drive...with which you can set the drive vom s-ata to ide...maybe this works... my mother got the same notebook (with linux). can you drop me a message, if osx work on your mates acer? thanx!!!
