lifi
Hey guys, I'm looking for a new laptop and there is that one question of video card. Does a on-board-intel x3100 w/ shared memory outbeat older cards, like ati x1400. I know, that Apple had x1600 built in before and switched now to x3100 (in the new generation of the MacBook). But isn't x1600 (or x1400, that I am looking at) with its own video ram more useful for doing photoshop. My biggest concern is running photoshop. I guess, a Intel T2400 or smth like that would be enough for the processor. Please gimme some advice Thanks a lot!
Synaesthesia
The X3100 is slower than most "proper" gpu's, like the x1400, or x1600. But for photoshop, there is really no difference, only cpu is important. I don't think x1400 is supported in OS X btw.
