guitar72186
I have a compaq F572US that I am trying to dual boot XP pro and JAS's OS X x86 on. Now I have been working on this for about 3 days straight and have gotten this far. Installation to an external hard drive works fin. Use VmWare to install it to my SATA drive and this to works. Now the problem comes with trying to boot OS X from the dual boot. I can choose which operating system I want to boot, but when OS X tries to boot the cricle spins, followed by a circle with a line through it coming up. Almost like a do not enter sign. A buddy of mine told me this means it can not find the hard drive. Now doing some research on the forum I have found that the nvidia 430/410 SATA hard drive can be almost impossible to load OS X x 86 onto. I tired the nvidia kext that is posted on this forum, but that seemes to corrupt my hard drive and now render my laptop useless. Regardless I am running a clean XP install on it now, so my question is that has anyone been able to successfully get a bootable copy of OS X to be installed on the Nvidia 430/410 or am I pretty much out of luck at this point in time? Thanks much. Kevin Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68914-compaq-f572-us-os-x-x86-1048-jas-install/ Share on other sites
