sofakng
Does Leopard support nVidia 8800GTX or ASUS P5B-Deluxe motherboard? I've always wanted to try an hacked MacOS (eg. OSX86) but my hardware never compatible... I have an nVidia 8800GTX, Asus P5B-Deluxe motherboard, Intel C2D E6600 processor, and a Creative X-Fi soundcard. Can I use Leopard? elsenormalo
I have Leopard running on my P5B, I only used SATA, and I was only able to use one network port. Other than that, i am happy, I've never used two network ports. bootc
I've got a P5B Deluxe WiFi AP with a GeForce 8800GTS and it works great. QE+CI support works on the 8800 and all. Sound works. Networking needs a hack for the first NIC (extra entry in AppleYukon.kext's Info.plist), and the second nic works with skge.kext (search the forums). WiFi might work if the Realtek drivers were any good (they are not). My drives are all SATA (AHCI in the BIOS) and all work. I couldn't boot from the DVD though, and used a USB drive and the pre-installed image to get it running, then restored to the built-in SATA disk. derradius
I have got the same P5BDeluxe WiFi with Marvell Yukon 8056 on-board NIC, edited the AppleYukon2.kext's Info.plist by replacing the 8053 strings with the often described method, but no NIC showed up. Permissions were corrected and Extension-cache was cleared - no success after all. So adding a separate section for the 8056 instead of modifying the 8053 section would do the trick? Any further tips would be highly appreciated.
