michaelverve
Hey everyone. I have been searching the forums for solutions to my problems but really haven't had much luck. This is my configuration Inspiron e1705 Sigmatel sound... Mobility x1400 ATI graphics I have been able to install Uphuck 1.4i successfully. I changed it from using both CPU's to only one. I need to know if there is a way to utilize both CPU's as of yet Is there a way to make the x1400 fully funtion besides just forcing the resolution to 1440x900x32(forcing hasn't actaully worked on my system yet) How can I get my sound to work? Thanks in advance for anyone that helps!
BJMoose
Sounds like you've got the same 1705 that I have. To my knowledge there hasn't been a reliable way yet to do more than one cpu. Also, we just have the wrong video card. There hasn't been any news of new drivers for the x1400 to make it work. NVidia is the only way to go so far for full video compatibility. Sorry. michaelvibe
Eik that stinks. I read on a thread that we could force the video to 1440x900. I put this command <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1440x900x32</string> I put it in the proper place and when I start the computer it changes my resolution to "1152x864" weird number. Other then the graphics and the sound I have a nice mac

michaelvibe
I have read this guide throughly but it hasn't helped me with my display. I have tried forcing the display using the steps in the guide with no luck. E1705 guide
