Solidus
Hey guys, I'm trying to install OS X on my computer. Recently went out and got a Pentium 4 Prescott 3.2.GHz with SSE2/3, and have no DVD drive. I tried about 10 different methods of that damned DD program, no such luck. I finally rested on simply getting it working in VMware, and forgot to keep the tiger-x86.vmdk file. Could somebody please email it to me? dave_hogg@blueyonder.co.uk or attatch it on these forums. Regards, Dave. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6859-no-dvd-drive/ Share on other sites
Sutebenu
What version of Tiger was it? 10.4.1 or 10.4.3? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6859-no-dvd-drive/#findComment-42353 Share on other sites
Solidus
It's the original deadmoo image, 10.4.1 I believe. Anyway I can confirm without actually booting the OS? I have a mac that can mount the image so if any of the files on the image if that's any use. Sutebenu
I'm glad it's 10.4.1, because I can help you . Are you trying to dualboot OSx86 and Windows or just natively install it? I dualbooted, so I can help you with that. Not sure about native though. EDIT: The way I did didn't require VMware. Sutebenu
Go to the wiki, and look at the Dual Boot part of Installation Guide. I believe (if my memory serves correct) that you type a command using dd.exe to transfer the IMG to another partition. The wiki explains everything, because I was a n00b when I installed it, it's pretty n00b friendly.
