lonmoore
Using the pre-patched Leopard file, I get to the point where I am asked where do I want to install Leopard. All that is recognized is the flash drive, PATCHER. I have formatted my drive to Fat32 and named it Leopard but I have nowhere to install Leopard. What can I do to get my 160 GB Sata drive recognized? Thanks for any advice. lonmoore
Thanks for the reply but as mentioned in my first post my drive is not being recognized. There's nothing in disk utilities but my 1GB flash drive. How do I get the Leopard installer to see my hard drive. At one point I had a USB external drive attached to my computer and it was recognized as well. Everything is found but my sata drive. lonmoore
I checked ACHI in the BIOS and my hard drive is now recognized. 1st time through it said "Installation failed." The 2nd time through it said that it installed. But it installed in 4 or 5 minutes so I'm wondering if it actually did. I rebooted, and per the instructions, I started the installation again in order to do post installation. I stopped it as soon as I saw a menu and went to the Terminal but was told "Volumes" didn't exist. So I installed a little further and this time it failed again. I'm now installing again and if it fails, I'm through for the day. Tomorrow may be brighter. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. Addendum - I dug out my Unix book and "Volumes" was located at cd .. cd .. cd .. To run "./9a581PostPatch.sh" I did this....... cd files cd files For those that don't know ls will let you know where you are in the Terminal. Now I can't boot either Vista or Leopard. As soon as figure out one thing another pops up. I'm Anal and will start all over tomorrow.
