Anyone that releives my from this agony is getting a recomendation for the nobel prize of peace. Here is the story: I installed 10.4.8 through VMware. Boots pretty much perfect in VMare. When i try to boot it nativly i get -unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI"-. I have tried prefixes (like platform=x86PC). Cant find the solution anywhere. Can i change something in the kextfiles so that i can boot? Also, ppl have told me to enable ACPI in bios, but its enabled. Any help is greatly appreciated! *EDIT: I read that this may solve my problem: -edit your .vmk with a notepad and add the line acpi.present = "FALSE"- But i dont know how to exactly do that? I tried replacing the AppleACPIPlatform.kext with one i got on irc, but i dont really know wich one to use. Also, if someone has some guide on how to flash a bios, i would like to give that a try...
