Hey, people.

I'm trying to install the Jas 10.4.8 on my

Core 2 duo 1.73, Via chipset/positivo motherboard, 120Gb Samsung SATA, 1Gb DDR2.

Couple of seconds after the dvd boots, I get:

extension "com.apple.driver.appleACPIthermal has no kernel dependency

then

panic (cpu 1 caller 0x001A3129)

uressolved kernel trap (CPU 1 type=14 page fault)

then it prints the kernel version and locks up.

I read somewhere that you'd have to remove this extension to make it boot, but

1) Would it put my hardware in risk? I reckon this thermal thing is for the temperature of the processor.

2) How the heck do I remove an extension?

Thanks, everyone. If you don't know how to solve it, just drop in any kind of knowledge that might help.
