Hello Guys:

its really nice having such forum full of resources, and everybody is helping & supporting each other.

MY STORY:

I have the HP Notebook dv6291ea T7200 CPU 160 GB HDD SATA, GEFORCE 7400 (128MB), Vista Home Premium.

I managed to download and install 10.4.8 MAC OS X (Name of File is as Follows: JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1.Defiant.diskutil.biker880.ich7-R.patch.Integrated

everything went smooth, installed it correctly after I used disk Utility before the install Process, to erase the 7 GB free Space, which i got after shrinking my E: partition, the installtion took about 18 minutes, BUT: When I was asked to reboot, I did but got this Error: (((HFS+ Partition Error)))

I then started the system using Vista DVD, I fixed the problem through Diskpart. then successfully rebooted into Vista, I went through all possible scenarios regarding this error in this awesome forum, yet with no success, also I didnt see the MAC partition inside Vista so I got HFS+ Explorer and I could see the contents only then.

I need a step-by-step guide on how to correct this issue, I tried setting the mac partition to ACTIVE, yet no success, also carried out the procedures regarding BCDEdit (Vista Bootloader) but like this guide located somewhere here:

You need:

1. A prepatched OSX install image (10.4.7, 10.4.6, … or 10.4.3)

2. An empty DVD recordable (+R or –R, NO Rewritable!)

3. At least 6 GB free space.

4. A working Vista installation and the Vista installation dvd

5. “JaS SSE2 10.4.8 Combo Update with Semthex SSE2 Beta9 Kernel” for Intel or AMD (ask for it on irc.macspeak.net, in the #kernel channel)

6. chain0 (type this in on google.com, it’s on the first page)

The guide:

1. Get an prepatched OSX install image.

2. Burn the image to an empty dvd recordable (+R or –R)

Use your favorite burn program for this (I recommend Nero Burning Rom or Alcohol 120%)

3. Create at least 6GB unallocated space on your harddisk using Partition Magic:

Start partition Magic

>> Click on ‘Resize/Move Partition

>> Move the slider to make the partition smaller and hit OK

>> Click on ‘Apply’

>> Close Partition Magic

4. Click ‘START > Run…’ and type ‘diskpart’ (without quotes)

5. Type in (press enter after you typed in a line):

list disk

select disk [the number of your disk]

create partition primary id=af

list partition

select partition [the number of your new osx partition]

active (if this doesn’t work, try ’set active’ without quotes)

6. Insert the OSX install disk and reboot your computer, follow the installation steps on your screen.

Don’t forget to choose ‘customize’ during the install and select the appropriate options.

7. After finishing the installation, OSX should boot up. Play with it for a few moments and then proceed to the next step.

(((Actually m stuck here, I couldnt ever Bootup and/or Play with it, and I got the error mentioned above)))

I guess the problem is in these steps:

13. Press WIN+R and type ‘cmd’. And type:

bcdedit /copy {current} /d “Mac OS X” ---------------------- do i need to type {current} or sth else?

bcdedit /enum active

bcdedit /set {ID OF YOUR OSX ENTRY} PATH \chain0 -------------------what is my ID & what do i need to type exactly?

Actually I got the Dual Menu, but when I click on MAC OS X, it says Windows can't find c:\windows\system\winload.exe or sth like that

Where could be the problem exactlly? I have SATA NATIVE SUPPORT IN BIOS, I TRIED DISABLING IT BUT ALSO NO SUCCESS

Thanx from the depth of my heart

Willy
