daneel Posted October 26, 2007 Share Posted October 26, 2007 i upgraded to the 1.1.1 firmware without revirginizing first and i couldnt unlock or actiavte or do anything with it. but with indpendence i was able to downgrade it back to 1.0.2 but i still have a problem in that, even though the firmware downgraded, the modem firmware didn't. i still have the 4.xx baseband. and so when i try to virginize, i get the "fw diffences found" and it fails. i cant unlock using the normal method either. right now, i can only use it as an iphone without the phone. all i want now is a working phone. 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 doesnt matter. can someone help me out here ? Kevin ive just tried it mate. it seems like the perfect set of instructions and i was very hopeful. but i keep getting stuck at one stage. the part where he says to run ieraser, up until then everything is perfect but when i run ieraser, i get stuck at "waiting for data". and by the appearance of the discussion page for the guide, several people have had the same problem before, but no one has posted a fix. please help.
