federic
Hi everybody, Yesterday I tried to install both osx 10.4.8 and Win XP sp2 (dual boot) folowing this guide http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Simple_Dual_Boot While everything seemed to go very well with osx, when I tried to boot WinXP from the Darwin boot-loader, I got this error message: ------- reading disk error .. press ctrl+alt+canc to reboot... ------- I couldn't find any solution to boot Win XP, I'm looking everywhere, I really don't know what to do. Is there someone who can help me? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67844-dual-boot-reading-disk-error/ Share on other sites
inmykingdom
try getting gparted livecd on a cd and boot with that check the active partition, if you're lucky, it's not the one with XP on, and you can change it to that and boot http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67844-dual-boot-reading-disk-error/#findComment-487414 Share on other sites
