Killroy Posted October 26, 2007 Share Posted October 26, 2007 Really this is about the Mac Windows Drivers. I don't think much, if anything, has changed since v1.4 Beta. Or at least I haven't noticed anything. The "About" information now says, "Boot Camp 2.0" ! These are my observations with Windows XP Pro: ForceWare is still v101.34, no tap-clicking yet, no 64-bit support, and the time is still incorrect when I switch between Windows and OS X (unless I have an active internet connection). I'm not really concerned with GPU drivers, since I can get the latest from LaptopVideo2Go, but what type of updates and support should we expect from Apple concerning Windows Drivers? And you got these apple icons when u use the hardware buttons for the brightness/volume.. But other than that, I was kinda stressed with the whole upgrade, because it didnt allow me to install the drivers straight from the Leopard DVD... I had to go around with the old 1.4beta drivers... Do anybody still got the drivers for the IR-remote , just the IRFilter.inf file... Do anybody still got the drivers for the IR-remote , just the IRFilter.inf file... So you're using the Beta v1.4 Drivers in Windows, but you have Leopard installed? That's what people were doing with Leopard 9a559 Beta. That's still v1.4 Drivers, so you shouldn't notice any changes (as we're comparing Version 2.0 to v1.4 Beta). The backlit keyboard and OSD both worked in v1.4. Actually the OSD, when you change the volume and brightness, in Windows seems to have been improved with Boot Camp Version 2.0. It used to flicker in Games and whatnot and looked a little pixelated around the edges, but now it functions smoothly. When I was playing the Crysis SP Demo, the OSD did not even appear in-game. I would still like options to disable the annoying beeps when I change the volume though. I am hoping to finally see tap-clicking work but .... so disappointing.
