Kirtenz
I have a Dell Optiplex GX280 with OS X 10.4.7 installed. Until today, I had never used the built-in ethernet since it was not working by default. I used a wireless adapter instead. However, I am in need of both operating. I found the AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext driver file. I pull an IP address on the ethernet card with no problem. I can ping some devices on the local subnet for the ethernet card with no problem. However, routing beyond that will not go anywhere. I also have absolutely no arp table if I only have the ethernet enabled. My MAC address is showing up as 00:00:00:00:00:00. It is also transmitting this way. I think my problem is that the router for the subnet will not respond due to my MAC address being 00:00:00:00:00:00. Any thoughts?
