Hi there i want to install tiger on my pc but i dont know if all my hardware is compatiblee

i was wondering if someone can tell me if my pc is compatible with it and which version os osx i need

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego S939

Motherboard: DFI Lanparty UT nF4-D

Chipset: nVIDIA nForce4

Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT (512 MB)

HDD: Western Digital (18 GB, IDE)

Monitor: Acer AL2223W [22" LCD]

OS: Currently running XP 64bit

RAM: 2048 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM) 2 x 1gb

i was wondering what i need if im compatible to run or not

ok i just finished getting JaS 10.4.8 intel/amd i will be trying it today

a couple of questions

 

What drivers do i need to select while installing cause i know there is a menu to select?

 

another thing is

 

Roike said my graphic card isnt supported at all

will it still run or no ??

the best thing to do is try, this is no lotery but there's no 100% bulletproof setup, so... try it :(

 

the instalation is easy, just dont rush, read everything, and be sure to custom your install, just install AMD kernel, ( its so easy as checkboxes of what you want to install )

 

but the most important, is to do it right, never rushing. read as much as you can.

If your BIOS allows to boot from USB, and you can get one USB HDD, it'll give you a safer approach. That's what I did. I'm runing via USB HDD. What this means is if I wanna run OS X, i plug my HDD to one of the USB port and start the system. If i wanna run MicroCRAP i just don't plug in and start the system. This way i found out if my machine works and also played around the configurations to get some of the hardware working, while always having a fully working OS.
