deltazero
Hi all, I installed the tubgrl 10.4.10 last night on my AMD machine, and everything worked out smoothly. Ethernet worked, sound worked, but graphics were stuck on 1024x768...so i went ahead and installed the x1300 Natit drivers ( i have an ati radeon x1300 pro card, agp), repaired permissions and restarted. Now when i boot the machine up again, it goes into a blue screen with nothing on it but a cursor. The blue color is the same color as the standard OSX background. Also, when i hit the power button to put the comp on sleep, it briefly shows all the stuff that is -supposed- to be there, before going into sleep....after coming back out of sleep, its just the blue screen with a cursor again. anyone else having the same problem? im not quite sure whats causing this and how i'd go about fixing it, would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67559-x1300-problem-with-a-blue-screen/ Share on other sites
Crawley
I had similar problems with natit, so I reinstalled system (jas 10.4.8), resolution locked, applied jas 10.4.9 update, still locked, and koolkal 10.4.10.(WITH ATI DRIVERS SELECTED) - radeon x1300 fully working with qe/ci enabled. hope this helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67559-x1300-problem-with-a-blue-screen/#findComment-480845 Share on other sites
deltazero
:/, i guess i cant use koolcal since i have an amd machine.. i did try selecting the ati drivers when i installed with my dvd, but it said something about installation failing right around the end, and told me to reinstall. did it about 3 times before i gave up on that. on an interesting note, the resolution/refresh rate did change after i installed the natit kexts, just that the rest of the stuff disappeared.. lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67559-x1300-problem-with-a-blue-screen/#findComment-480901 Share on other sites
bibendum
I'll bet the problem is that you have AGP and the drivers are for PCIe. AGPArt? Does that help?
