Tensuke
Hi, I've been aware of OSX86 for a while now but I've never really gotten the thing to work right. I was able to get deadmoo's image running in VMWare, but other than that any install attempts have been futile. Recently, I discovered that it was probably all due to my ATI x200 chipset. I've heard people can get OSX running on x200 so I'm trying again now, but I was thinking of getting a new gfx card soon anyway. Just wondering, will getting a compatible gfx card nullify the x200 problems? And if so, are there any good ones that support DX10(for gaming), but run well and have qe/ci support? This is my computer in depth, but a short summary is: Intel Pentium D 820 / 2.8 GHz(dual-core,sse/2/3) ATI Radeon Xpress 200 chipset 1 GB DDR II SDRAM PC2-4200 1 x250 GB - Standard - Serial ATA-300 - 7200 rpm I added 1 80 GB - IDE DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM - IDE Realtek HD Audio Netgear wg311t wireless card Also, are there any specifiations for how my HDDs/DVD Drives should be set up? Any help would be great! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67366-whats-a-good-gfx-card-that-will-work-with-this-setup/ Share on other sites
nightrider
Just wondering, will getting a compatible gfx card nullify the x200 problems? Is that true? Becuase I have an HP a1130n that has the x200 chipset but I put a nvidia 7900gt into the empty PCI-E slot, so will my system have qe/ci support?
