Pietato Posted October 22, 2007 Share Posted October 22, 2007 so i finally got the install finished and so far theres only been a few problems 1. grayscale video (fixed! :mellow: with a bios update) 2. no sound (been looking around and have concluded that i need AppleAC97audio.kext but i cant find it anywhere) 3. Ethernet not working (tried a few things with no luck) 4. Wireless, im using a belkin wireless g adapter PCMCIA (i dont think it even gets power so i think i might also need a fix for the PCMCIA slot) 5. iTunes crashes but i read that it needs a patch to work but i cant find that either all the links ive found are dead anything would help thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67325-dell-inspiron-1100/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

I will follow your install and see if I can fix any of your remaining problems. Sound good? Firstly how did you prepare. Did you just wipe Windows... or partion? What version of 10.4 do you have? 10.4.3- 10.4.8 ...
