Guest Posted October 22, 2007 Share Posted October 22, 2007 Hey, I got a prob after i installed my OSx (installed from OSX 10.4.8 JAS DVD) on my AMD Athlon x64 4400+, 1GB ram Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 (rev. 2.0), 256MB Asus 8500GT gfx card. It pops up 'Please restart your PC. hold power button/ press reset button to reset'. After reseting still pops up the same thing. did i do anything wrong...formatted drive using the Disk Utilities to HFS+ (journaled). Mr Linux Guy Posted October 22, 2007 Share Posted October 22, 2007 does it say you have to reboot in several languages? what installation dvd are you using? does it come with any patches? do you have an SSE2 or SSE3 processor? did you install the appropriate patches? Guest Posted October 23, 2007 Share Posted October 23, 2007 Yea, it does have a list of languages to select & i've selected English (default) and it was installed properly for the 2nd time last nite after leaving it on till the next morning . sum how, it did manage to boot up wif the grey apple thingy wif the loading sign then it hang, well when i was about to press reboot a tune started to play . The next thing i knw it hang again... . Still searching thru the forum for solution to this matter. . Thx 4 ur reply Linux Guy. btw, how do i dealth with this new prob?
