blkhockeypro19 Posted October 22, 2007 Share Posted October 22, 2007 I have a SATA HD and I am using vmware to emulate osx86 jas. I want to install osx86 to a partition, so I made a new 18gb unformated partiton and configured VMware to use it. I go into disk utility and it says its two 126gb partitions instead of one 18gb partiton. Is there a way to fix this? candykane Posted October 22, 2007 Share Posted October 22, 2007 What sata chip set are you using and how is it configued in the bios and what version of osx are you trying to install? problem is sata only works in ich7 8 9 mode. you have to set te controller to that in the bios. some chipsets like the sata 9 mode versions nead a patched version of osx86 to work! now go and do your home work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
