What do i have to lose?

Hey everyone,

 

I've been using 10.4.3 for sometime now, but lately I've lost my Quicktime Pro and my (F12 to eject) and hardware audio controls don't work (despite pulling the 10.4.3 appleac97audio.kext file and restoring it)

 

So i'm considering doing a reinstallation, since those are commonly used features.

 

Question is what do I lose? Will all my apps be wiped or only system extensions?

 

Things I'm most concerned with are Mail.app preferences and accounts and other installations, such as word, powerpoint, etc.
