manmal
Hi, i tried to install final cut 2 and it gives an installation skip of final cut application , due perhaps to intel 950 graphics. Is it possible to workaround that , installing on a hackintosh or an a macbook with intel graphics ? How? Thanks! Proteo
Until recently (that I bought a 7300GS) I was using FCS2 with no problems at all on my rig (D945GNTL, with GMA950) so I know for sure that this video chipset is not a problem. Synaesthesia
There must be a way to bypass the check. It will work, but the GPU-accelerated effects & stuff will be a bit slower. bibendum
You say you're using Intel 950, but you don't say if you've got QE & CI working? Both are required... Proteo
No, he's saying that some FCP effects that high-end graphic cards usually do in real-time will be slower. Synaesthesia
Proteo, how did you get FCP 2 working? From Apple.com: Minimum Requirements to Install All Final Cut Studio Applications... An AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors) ... Doesn't the installer stop you? Proteo
I didn't do anything special during the installation, so I'm afraid I cannot help you too much, but the installer doesn't stop you. My current FCS installation was made around six months ago, before I got the 7300GS, so I just took off the Nvidia card and booted using the onboard one, and got this screenshot. manmal
Hi, unfortunately i didn't solve this yet and i would be really happy if anyone could post here explaining a possible workaround to install final cut 2 6.0 or 6.01 with an intel gma950 video card , since it doesn't let me even install it.
