midlandskatecom
I know that Titan could fix this for 10.4.8 but what is the fix for 10.4.10? Having a widescreen monitor and a standard resolution is kind of weird and not my preference at all. Thanks in advance. Having a widescreen monitor and a standard resolution is kind of weird and not my preference at all. Thanks in advance. NVinject http://nvinject.free.fr/ Titan also still works. Natit is supposed to, but I haven't tried it. I have good resolutions and refresh rates with 7300LE. Still no QE but I've been told that may be a kernel problem on Kalyway. Planning to try switching kernels tonight. midlandskatecom
Thanks. I tried last night and it messed up but I think that was my fault. Now I'm dealing with a fresh install adn the only thing I've messed with is my Broadcom driver so we'll see how this goes.So I've pasted it into my Extensions folder, but I don't understand what it's telling me to do now.Well I got it installed and everything, it recognizes my video card now but I still can't change my resolutions and i have no CI or QEWould using DVI or VGA make a differance? Or that I'm using a Dell Monitor? bibendum
I have run the 7300LE, GS, and GT all with either the Titan or Natit drivers without problem... I've used VGA, and DVI (though that wasn't on the 7300 - hmmm... are you using DVI? Can you try VGA?) - and no, your monitor doesn't matter. When you boot with -v, you should see the Natit or Titan starting up and trying to match your display card. What does it say? midlandskatecom
I haven't yet booted to anything other than a Safe Boot because I have a firewire card in that seems to be causing a problem at startup and it only surpasses that with a safe boot if i type in -x. Anyway, maybe I shouldn't safe boot? I'll have to take out that firewire card in a little bit after I do some chores. Hopefully that's what was causing the problem and I don't have to do anything else. (The problem being caused by a safe boot not by the firewire) I'll reply within the next hour. bibendum
Dude! You need to boot with -v and check what the Natit/Titan says when it starts up. Safe boot leaves out all the non-essential drivers, no wonder you weren't getting anything loaded... midlandskatecom
Oh okay. I'll do this right after school, I don't have the time now. I know that in my installation, I don't ever see the Apple loading thing, I always see code instead and I've seen some nVidia stuff I just didn't pay a lot of attention past the fact that it shows my graphics card. EDIT: Okay, I'm @ school and I did the boot this AM but something along the lines ofa "Family" for the display failed. That was teh only thing i could make sense out of. what should i be looking for? also using verbose mode it wouldnt let me boot up. it hung @ No Airport found EDIT AGAIN: I just remembered that there were some things that didn't fail during Verbose but they just didn't have an ID or something... is there a file I should go edit in the kext perhaps? midlandskatecom
Maybe I can try to use Titan or Natit instead now that I know my Device ID? How would I get rid of NVinject?
