midlandskatecom
I really want to get my ethernet working for my installation of Tiger (10.4.10) and I've got the Broadcom 440x. I've searched through the Wiki and in the HCL for 10.4.8 it said you would need to revert back to an old kext so I searched around for that old kext and eventually I found a post describing how they got it to work and that post contained 2 kexts (I didn't bookmark the post though). IOPCIFamily.kext and IONetworkingFamily.kext I did what they told me to do installing the kexts and running the code via terminal but then I had an inability to boot OSX so I had to reinstall. What is the best solution for this problem? All I want is my networking to work. I'd jump through hoops for it to. Neonkoala
Copy and paste the kexts overwriting old ones then chmod and chown files so they work again and reboot. Also when you reboot add a -f to the command line to force kext recaching.
