I'm a newbie and I just finished installing OSX86 on my new dual core AMD machine. This is unreal. As a lifelong mac person who built a pc for cost reasons only, this feels like getting a brand new mac - and one that is faster than a $4000 Power Mac at that! The only problem I had during install was I froze up during first restart once the installation finished. I manually shut the system down and restarted. Then I set the boot priority in bios to boot from the old ATA hard drive I used to install the new OS. The system doesn't recognize my SATA drive that contains windows and the rest of my data, but that is ok.

Everything works including sound and internet, but I had to install an old ethernet PCI card because it didn't recognize my onboard LAN. The speed seems really good, the only minor glitch is I get little pixelated squares on the screen sometimes that are about a couple of milimeters wide. I imagine this is related to the X300 PCIe graphics card support, as I can only display 1024/768 on my monitor.

I'll post any future observations, but for now I'm thrilled!
