I ran the update package that came with my installation of 10.4.9 and the installation completed but when it restarted it's been stuck on the apple screen with the rotating gear for 15 minutes. I'm assuming it's not going to get out of it, what did I do wrong? Was I supposed to run something besides the update package? Is there anything I can do or do I need to reinstall? I'm running and AMD opteron 165 with an Asrock 939sli32 motherboard off a sata2 hard drive. There were other files in the update folder, some for Intel, others with different names, i tried running those and they got errors. The AMD update package completed successfully without error. I have the Mac OS X v10.4.9 Installer for PC v1.34 I'm getting bad system calls with com.apple.KernelEventAgent and with com.apple.nibindd and with com.apple.mDNSResponder and with com.apple.syslogd.

Edit: I used macdrive to copy dsmos.kext into the extensions folder (there were multiple folders with extensions in the name, I chose the one that was just Extensions) and I copied mach_amd into just the OSX partition and named it mach_kernel. Still not working.

Well can someone at least tell me how to update to 10.4.10 if I do a reinstall?

This is what the readme says but I ran the "automatic install" and it broke my installation

****************************************************************

This pack contains 10.4.10 Mac OS X delta update for hackintosh!

****************************************************************

*****************

Automatic install

*****************

MacOSXUpd10.4.10AMD.mpkg.zip - Update package for AMD

MacOSXUpd10.4.10Intel.mpkg.zip - Update package for INTEL

---- (Both packages comes with 8.10.1 kernel + decrypter) ----

****************************

Manual install requirements:

****************************

mach_amd - 8.10.1 xnu kernel (amd/intel/sse3/noNX/hpet/autofsb)

mach_intel - 8.10.1 xnu kernel (intel/sse3/noNX/hpet/autofsb)

dsmos.kext - binary decrypter

Don't forget to backup your extensions!!!!

The update package for AMD automatic install it mentions is the one I ran but thats the one that screwed up my computer so I'm guessing there is a problem with me running that, is there a better way? I didn't back up my extensions but I'm not sure how that would help me since after running the patch I can't even get into OSX.
