bazz38
So, i've updated to 10.4.10 yesterday. My hackintosh is now running just great, with everything fully functional. There's only one thing that really annoys me: the resolution of the boot screen. I have a 1680x1050 resolution, but the grey boot screen appears to be 800x600 and all stretched out. I know this is just a minor "problem", but it just annoys me now everything works except this Anyone has an idea how to modify the resolution? hackcat
You can't, the darwin kernel does not support 1680x1050 at boot. You can change which standard Vesa resolution darwin boots with by adding in apple.com.Boot.plist <key>Graphics Mode</key><string>horizontalxverticalxbit-depth@herz</string> but if you use 1680x1050x32@60 you won't get more than 1400x1050. ernando
I tried apply 1400x900 which is my 19" LCD resolution, but the grey Apple logo sticks with I think 800x600 resolution, anyone has another solution ?
