marcusatl
I just upgraded to 10.4.10 using tubgirl.... install went fine. i installed the io80211.kext from my 10.4.9 uphuck install disc so that i could get my wireless working... but when i went into network config, it detected my wireless card as a built-in ethernet. i know this because the mac address is the mac for my wireless card. is there anyway to fix this??? my wireless was fine in 10.4.9 when i install the io80211.kext previously.... everything else works fine so far. AMD 3700+ 1gb ram nforce chipset dlink wda-1320 (atheros chipset...to my knowledge) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66850-wireless-card-detects-as-built-in-ethernet-since-upgrade-to-10410/ Share on other sites

E-werd
Unfortunately, that fix does nothing for Realtek chipsets--at least not my 8187. My rtl8187 was already en1 (second to my onboard NIC, which was en0), but the IOInterfaceUnit key was set to 0... set it to 1, no difference. Yargh. The search continues.
