I am going to be installing Uphuck's 10.4.9 on my HP Laptop. I have 2 hard drives in it, and I was wondering if it was possible for me to just install OSX on the second (empty) hard drive instead of having to partition my 1st hard drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciatied. Thank you.

The only glitch I had was that the HP BIOS does not give an option of booting from the second ("secondary") hard drive, but if you have Vista on the first hard drive, Neosmart's most excellent EasyBCD solves this elegantly (and for free) using the Vista boot manager.
