sjud9227
Hello Everyone, I am new to the Mac world! I just bought a Macbook pro after using windows all my life!! I had a question in regards to hard drives. Some one returned a macbook pro that was the model before the new ones that came out in June. It was the most upgraded model before the 17" and with apple care, and ilife 08 it came out to be cheaper then the cheapest macbook pro had I bought one brand new. So with it in perfect condition I purchased it. They told me that it had a 160GB hard drive and when I got home i found out it was 120GB hard drive. Anyways, I called them up and argued with the manaer unil he told me to bring it in and he would do a data transfer and put in a 160GB harddrive. My question is, is there a big difference in brands of harddrive's that they could have put in a crappy 160GB hard drive and it would efect the performance of my computer?? Thanks in advance! Synaesthesia
Basically, the most important thing is whether it is 7200rpm or 5400rpm. 7200rpm is faster and more advanced, but uses slightly more battery power. (but is great for MBP). Otherwise, not really! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66609-new-macbook-pro/#findComment-472311 Share on other sites
