dsc106
While editing a project in FCP, the computer does a hard FREEZE, like no keys or mouse worked, had to reset. Upon restart, everything seems fine, and my whole HDD seems fine, except the Final Cut Pro Documents folder has NO contents, and I suddently have 60gb more HDD space. Everything is gone. I tried to use disk utility to repair disk, and it says "invalid node structure. Volume check failed." I rebooted and tried again. Every other file on my HDD is fine, except this whole directory disappeared. When I tried to start FCP it said waveform cache directory does not have valid read/write access and quit on me... apparently because my whole FCP docs folder went missing. Someone please help who knows MACs, what can I do? All my capture scratch was in this folder, and two projects have no backup yet AT ALL... dsc106
wow, thanks for that great help.... FYI: Alsoft Diskwarrior 4 solved my problem. I hear techtools 4 also has tools that would help. Further, before this, I was able to boot into a windows partition, and using mac drive 7 access the files and copy them across to an NTFS partition where if need be I could have copied them back to a newly formatted HFS+ partition.
