cyber_dash
I have gigabyte 7600 GS card and DVI doesn't work properly. I installed JaS 10.4.8. with Natit and DVI port didn't work (only worked with VGA monitor over DVI-VGA adapter) Then I re-installed JaS and installed Titan and I finally had picture over my DVI video projector. But when I rebooted the system all I got was blue mac os desktop screen without mouse, icons, background picture. VGA port works normally but every time I use DVI I end up with that stupid blue background. I didn't do 10.4.10 update yet, maybe it will be okay after that, I don't know... Does anybody know what could be done here...? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66305-7600-gs-dvi-problem/ Share on other sites
BJMoose
Is this card dual dvi? If so, have you tried connecting the cable to the other dvi port? On some 7xxx series cards, only the primary dvi port works natively and the other via a dvi2vga adapter. Is this a 256mb card or a 512mb card? cyber_dash
No, one port is VGA (it's working perfect) and the other one is DVI. Card is Gigabyte 7600 GS 256MB PCIe VGA, DVI, Video-Out. When I installed TITAN, DVI port worked, but after first reboot, it stoped working. I conected my hdmi video projector via hdmi-dvi cable to DVI port on my card, I will try connect the card to DVI monitor tomorrow, even though I don't think there will be any diference. BJMoose
So your dvi test was dvi to hdmi and not dvi to dvi? My guess is that when you try the latter, it will work.
