beagio
right, i don't know what's happened but all of a sudden my OS X partition won't boot. when the Darwin boot loader shows up, it just sits there. if i try and select OS X it flashes some text on the screen for a brief second then goes dumps me back to the OS selection screen. i've tried safe boot, single user mode, etc, infact it won't let me even add the "?" option to the boot. i've tried booting up with the OS X install disc, ala "HFS+ error" but still no go. i've also tried reparing permissions/the disk in the OS X installer, but again, no go. i'm at a loss here, and feel slighly ill that i have to post this from within Windows. if anyone can help i'd really appreciate it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66252-os-x-sudenly-wont-boot/ Share on other sites
bibendum
So - if you press F8 (some installs say any key), can you enter the -v option? Patrick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66252-os-x-sudenly-wont-boot/#findComment-469785 Share on other sites
