BJMoose
I was just talking to someone last night about how I have the same wireless keyboard/mouse combo for all my systems. I was at the apple store again today trying to decide whether I want to add a couple of new iMacs to my studio for editing/authoring and I started playing around with the new keyboard. It could be just that it's different, but I liked it (still hate the mighty mouse). Then I realized that although I spend all the time programming all the extra internet and system keys on my Windows keyboard, I really rarely use anything more than the volume/mute functions. Has anyone tried this new board with Windows XP? Is there anything to be wary of? Does the ALT or CMD key transfer to the Windows key? Thanks for any info on this. shoarthing
. . . all I know firsthand [from setting up 3x Alloy iMacs with XP in a v 1.4 bootcamp partition, then installing/running VMWare Fusion] is that there are serious issues: in [the latest beta of] VMWare fusion the function keys will not map at all. Couldn't install XP Pro SP2 via bootcamp with this wired alloy k/b attached - had to use an old Apple Pro k/b. . . they are yummy tho' - have just got the UK layout version of the bluetooth alloy keyboard & it is a delight - never [voluntarily] run any version of Windows so have, alas, no idea whether it works.
