hartig Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 So I installed JaS 10.4.8, and when I start it up, it says the darwin stuff, flashes over to the white screen with the grey apple, and a little loading icon. Seems like its working, but then all of a sudden it goes to a black screen. The computer is still on, but no matter how long I leave it on for, it doesn't do anything... I had installed this before, and it worked right after the installation, so I have no idea whats going on.. Please help me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bloo Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 same thing had happened to me. the reason for mine doing that, was because i had a PS/2 keyboard and mouse connected and so after several reinstallations, i always got a black screen after seeing the apple boot screen. once i did the installation again but with a USB keyboard and mouse, all went well. on a friend's PC, the problem was with choosing the wrong video driver.
