dkelley Posted January 10, 2006 Share Posted January 10, 2006 help!? some time ago my main hard drive icon disappeared. my drive doesn't show up on the desktop or in the finder's top/left pane any more. It's been like this for a week now. I am currently getting around it by having dragged my network's mac.local drive icon (same as a harddisk icon) to my desktop, but it only offers limited functionality (it still doesn't show in the finder etc). My windows drive is showing in both places ok still (Untitled), but I'd really like to know how to get my main disk icon back. My main osx86 volume shows in the mounted volumes in the terminal ok, but I'm very out of touch (20 years out of touch) with unix stuff and don't have the faintest idea how to bring it back. Please help - my system's 100% perfect otherwise, and still working great, but this is just a real pain in the ass. dkelley I can email a grab of my desktop/finder to anyone interested...
