benutzername0815
Hi folks, i am new to osx86, but i tried to get my DEll Latitude D820 to work with JaS 10.4.8 PPF1+PPF2 and with uphuck 1.4i r3. But I always failed at to get the Internal Broadcom NetXtreme Networkcard to work. Vendor ID 14E4 DevID 1600 I also patched the AppleBCM5701Ethernet and Info.plist file, as described several times in this forum. Refreshed the kext files (chown, chmod and kext -k) Has anyone any idea to help? Or has anyone the same hardware and could provide a working IONetworkingFamily.kext configuration for me, please? Thanks! Regards Atze Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65970-dell-latitude-d820-broadcom-netxtreme-does-not-work/ Share on other sites
ihook
Hi benutzername0815, I have the same book DELL Latitude D820 and the same broadcom. This is my IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip. The card works instable. I can open only one or two pages and break into GSOD or safary hangs. Try my kext maybe you can make him working stable... senorlocksmith
i have the same nic and i used the kext somewhere on this site, it barley works, i do get kernel panic on occasion too. one thing i was going to try was a different kernel. that may be a solution, but i still think the error is with the kext since its not a true driver for the card just one modified to satisfy its device id Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65970-dell-latitude-d820-broadcom-netxtreme-does-not-work/#findComment-471561 Share on other sites
ihook
Hi senorlocksmith! Really it is not a true driver, i modified the kext in hex editor using recomendations somewhere on this site, just to satisfy device id. I want to buy asus wireless wl167G it has drivers for mac os 10.4.x on asus site and costs about 30$, do anybody use it? benutzername0815
have a look at the hardware Hardware components List. (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCLPart#Wireless_Adapter) looks like it should work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65970-dell-latitude-d820-broadcom-netxtreme-does-not-work/#findComment-472349 Share on other sites
