ScarabJsy
Hi. I've only known about OSx86 for a few days, but have almost nailed the install. I'm installing on an Acer Aspire 5103, with AMD Turion MK-52, 2Gb ram, ATI x1300 mobility radeon. After my first attempt I got the drive partitoned successfully, and the install seemed to go ok, but on restart I got a kernel panic 14 error. After some reading, I tried again, but only selected the obvious drivers that I thought I need. The machine now hangs on Systemstarter[43] Waiting for IFC message. Has anyone installed successfully on an Acer similar to my model? If so, any help as to what I should be ticking during the installation selection. Less seem to work better than all of them, and i'm almost there. Also, should I be using the full dual Intel/AMD version, or am I better sticking to the smaller AMD only version? Would I have more success with the JaS version instead? Any help appreciated greatly M. Synaesthesia
I say go for the AMD only uphuck. JAS is very good, but uphuck has more options at installation. Good luck, check out the wiki too -> wiki.osx86project.org Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65910-1049-uphuck-on-acer-5103/#findComment-467023 Share on other sites
