OK I made a DVD of the ISO but whenever I would boot it up I would the installer would completely freeze at the line:

Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> <BR>

So I got VMware and successfully installed it on my active AF partition via that (First I had to install a native XP partition because Vista disables advanced HDD write permissions for VMware). However, whenever I would try to boot it up in VMware I would ALWAYS get a stack error, even with OS type as windows NT. So I tried booting it natively, setting it up to boot with EasyBCD, and it would hang at "still waiting for root device" every time. When I booted it with the "-x" parameter (or if the partition were not active) it would simply hang at

the same line my DVD would. I think my SATA hard drive is the main problem here,

but I'm not sure. My BIOS does not support changing it to AHCI or anything like

that, I have an abit IP35-E motherboard.

I figure I might need to install some SATA support kexts, but I'm not sure which ones and even if I knew, I cant get into OSX to apply them, not with VMware or natively. This does not work because my install disk terminal lacks a sudo command (invalid command or something) AND has no /paths/ folder. The closest thing I can get to applying them is running the install disc in VMware with the kexts on small data ISO I mounted to one of the virtual cd drives.

My system specs: Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2x2gb DDR2-800, 400GB SATA HDD, GeForce 8800GTX (I have the new installer package for it, if I could just get OSX to even boot up), Marvell Yukon onboard audio on an abit IP35-E motherboard. My HDD is described as "Primary Master" in aronis and in SATA port 1, though my DVD is in port 5

Do you guys think maybe its failing because I installed OSX with the "physical drive" option set to only the mac partition? Should I have selected the whole disk instead and used the disk utility to install to just that partition anyway? I just get an MBR error when I try to boot OSX up under its original, mac-partition only settings in VMware, I had to change the HDD to the whole physical disk to make it get stack faults

Any help would be appreciated
