BJMoose
hi to all, wonder why no one replies nowadays!!got the termainal to work and also fixed the resolution problem.but the brightness and contrast is just too much on the screen even at my monitor's min. settings. a nooby ques as well, how do i get to show my partitions on the desktop??and how to synchronise time between os x and vista.theres always some difference of about 8hrs(both update their time via the net). plz help..... If you look in finder>preferences, in the general tab, is everything checked that you want to appear on your desktop? For the time, there was a time fix floating around on google that was supposed to work for XP, but I found that it was so accurate. OSX and Windows use different methods for calculating the time. I choose to let the bios set the time for windows and I just change the time zone in OSX to one that projects the time that it really is here. The only time I really see the time zone is when I go into system preferences to the clock. Since I have the clock running on the top of the desktop, I don't need the time widget. The weather widget, I just set to my zip code for accurate weather.
