Z053921
Hello everybody, I just installed JaS 10.4.8. Great distro! Everything works fine, except my graphics card (that's normal, i also had troubles with it under both Linux and Windows) and my network card. Here's some info that my help you: 1) I tried configuring stuff with some utility prog's, but it simply grayed out "Lan network" (i need to connect to a lan network) 2) It works fine under both Windows and Linux. I'm posting this from an Ubuntu Live CD from the same PC. 3) I checked the type with the Ubuntu Hardware Profiler (or something like that) and it said: Intel 82801 CAM (ICH 3) PRO/100 VE (LOM) 4) I checked the wiki, i didn't found a driver, maybe there is one but i didn't noticed. 5) Lan network uses DHCP 6) Laptop is an IBM ThinkPad A/T/X Series (Source: Ubuntu Hardware Profiler) 7) I've got an 1GB USB flash drive 8) Knoppix can write to HFS+, so i can download stuff. (of course it would be better if i could download it directly from the mac) 9) If you need more info, ask! - SeySayux Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65666-problems-with-network/ Share on other sites
